BCATC students save lives

This year high school donors were responsible for donating 10% of our community’s blood supply. 238 Breckinridge County High School students donated under the leadership of Bridget Shartzer. The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center would like to recognize the BCATC students who attained High School Hero status by donating 4 times in their high school career. They will be distinguished at graduation by a solid red honor cord.

Jordan Board, Kaitlyn Butler, Collin Coomes, Tristan French, Heather Harris, Jacob Haycraft, Nolan Mattingly, Megan Miller, Samuel Monarch, Elizabeth Redford, Hannah Shannon, Julie Tindell

These students are silent heroes to the 48 people who received their plasma, the 48 people who received their red blood cells, and to the 48 people who received their platelets. They are outstanding for positively impacting/possibly saving the lives of 144 people they will never know and accomplished this prior to high school graduation. We believe this to be a profound achievement and salute you for your kindness and generosity.

Best wishes and thank you on behalf of the WKRBC.
